I went into librarianship hoping, at the very least, to do nothing more than inspire children to be excited about reading, learning, and storytelling. Now, I get to manage a Young Adult department and build a space from the ground up that will hopefully give teens the opportunity to tell their stories & engage with our crazy, crazy world in new ways.

I’ve been privileged to have a range of positions in the field, working my way up from circulation services to youth services, then a short time in Acquisitions in Collection Development, back to youth services, then finally settling into (and possibly never leaving) young adult services.

Love to read, but I am not well read.

I ✈️ to NYC and swapped Ocean Drive runs for winding paths on the Riverside with views of the Hudson.
Still a 🏖 girl though.

Nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
― Dr. Seuss, The Lorax
